Dachshund Personality Test
Did you know your dachshund could have a different personality depending on its coat?
Coat | Breed | Personality |
---|---|---|
Wire Coat | Most common type of dachshund in Germany. Wire haired terriers were introduced to create this breed. | They have a tendancy to have more of an attitude and be a little more aggressive and protective. |
Long Coat | These little guys were said to be bred with a spaniel. There are 2 theories as to why, one being so they could hunt for longer in the colder months. Another was to mellow them out a bit. | Long coats tend to be more laid back. They are more likely to make best friends with the whole household than having a strong bond with one person. |
Smooth Coat | There are multiple theories as to what these guys were bred with but the most common is that they were bred with pinschers. | Smooth coats are said to have the strongest prey drive and the most loyal. They love to burrow, are very territorial, and are the coat most likely to create that special bond with one person in the household. |
